Abe Activity Graph is a research project by Takahiro Tsuchiya. It structures publicly available prime ministerial activity records to analyze visible contacts, movements, meetings, meals, and diplomatic engagements during the second Abe administration.
What this MVP covers
Current scope: organization-level, category-level, and monthly trends across the second Abe administration. Cross-segment person-level comparison remains limited because the 2012–2014 public archive segment has materially lower person-mention recall than the 2014–2020 structured activity-log segment. See /full-period for the merged view and /method for the writeup.

本データは、首相動静に記録された公開上の接触を対象とする。そのため、 官邸内部で日常的に行われる随時協議、電話連絡、非公開調整、秘書官・ 補佐官を介した事前調整など、公開記録に現れない情報は含まれない。
This dataset covers only contacts recorded in the published daily-schedule (首相動静). Routine in-office consultation, phone calls, non-public coordination, and preparatory adjustments mediated by secretaries and aides — none of which surface in the published log — are not included.
Data policy
- No raw text in public artifacts. Underlying source text remains local-only under
data/raw/(gitignored). Public artifacts carry structured derived fields and SHA-256 hashes for chain-of-custody. - Public-record scope. Only contacts visible in the press-recorded log are analyzed. Off-record meetings remain out of scope by construction.
- Principal vs recorded contacts. The Prime Minister is the subject of every record and is tracked separately as the principal — not as his own contact. See /about for the method writeup.
